Partnerships
Kids4Act is building relationships with community partners, educators, creative professionals, studios, youth-serving organizations, and local organizations across Los Angeles County who share a commitment to youth development, creative expression, family support, and responsible program planning.

Partnerships help Kids4Act build carefully, learn from real creative environments, and connect families and young people with trusted spaces, practical guidance, and meaningful creative experiences.

Current Phase One Partnership: Deborah Lemen Acting Studio

Kids4Act's current Phase One partnership is with Deborah Lemen Acting Studio. This partnership supports Kids4Act's Research & Development phase by allowing the organization to learn from an active acting-based creative environment serving youth and teens.
Through this partnership, Kids4Act is gathering feedback, observations, and insight into how young people respond to acting-based expression, script work, character development, collaboration, memorization, emotional awareness, and supportive creative training.
What Deborah Lemen's Teaching Experience Brings
Deborah Lemen developed her studio to help kids, teens, and adults strengthen their acting technique through study and practice in the classroom, on set, and on camera. Her teaching approach emphasizes listening, responding fully to scene circumstances, understanding scripts and character behavior, making bold and truthful choices, taking direction, and continuing to grow through disciplined practice.
For Kids4Act, this provides an experienced teaching environment in which Phase One can learn how young people respond to guided acting work, on-camera exercises, character development, peer collaboration, feedback, and the challenge of adjusting in unfamiliar creative settings. The value of the partnership is the opportunity to observe the learning process and use real feedback to help inform future curriculum development.
- Guided practice and coaching
- Script analysis, scene work, and character development
- Listening and truthful response
- On-camera technique and adapting to a working environment
- Confidence, creative discipline, and willingness to make choices
- Peer collaboration and receiving direction
What We Are Learning Through Partnership
Kids4Act is using its current partner-based learning period to better understand what youth gain from creative environments that are structured, supportive, and age-appropriate. This includes looking at confidence, communication, listening, emotional expression, peer connection, and how young people respond to different forms of acting-based practice.
The goal is not to rush public programming. The goal is to learn responsibly, gather useful feedback, and use those findings to help shape future curriculum development.
