Donor FAQ
What does my donation currently support?
Donations to Kids4Act currently support the organization's pilot development phase. This includes collecting feedback and survey data from youth participating in partner-based creative learning environments, including work connected to Deb Lemen Acting Studio.
This feedback helps Kids4Act better understand youth needs, including confidence-building, self-expression, collaboration, memorization, communication, and how young people respond to safe creative environments. Donations may also support planning, curriculum development, data collection, parent and youth materials, guest instructors or speakers, technology, administrative needs, and preparation for future pilot programming.
Are public programs currently active?
No. Kids4Act is currently in a pilot development phase. Public youth programming is not currently active.
Kids4Act is using this development period to learn from partner-based creative environments, collect feedback, build curriculum ideas, prepare educational frameworks, and develop the structure needed before launching public programs.
What phase is Kids4Act currently in?
Kids4Act is currently in Phase One: Research & Development. During this stage, we are learning from our partnership with Deb Lemen Acting Studio, collecting youth feedback, using surveys, and identifying what young people are gaining from acting-based creative learning experiences.
This research helps Kids4Act better understand confidence-building, self-expression, collaboration, memorization, communication, and how creative environments can support growth. Donations during this stage help support data collection, survey tools, youth and parent materials, administrative needs, technology, and preparation for Phase Two: Curriculum Development.
Are donations restricted?
At this early stage, donations are generally used to support Kids4Act's overall organizational development and mission needs.
Because Kids4Act is still building its foundation, unrestricted support gives the organization flexibility to allocate funds where they are most needed, including curriculum planning, pilot preparation, family guidance tools, youth materials, technology, data collection, outreach, and administrative readiness. As Kids4Act develops its phased roadmap, donors will be able to better understand which areas of development their support helps advance.
Can I give one-time, monthly, quarterly, or yearly?
Yes. The donation form should allow Give Once, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly contributions, along with a custom donation amount.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes. Donors should receive a donation receipt through the donation platform or through Kids4Act's administrative process. The receipt should include standard nonprofit language that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the donation unless otherwise stated.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Kids4Act.org is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding their individual circumstances.
How will donors receive updates?
Kids4Act intends to share updates as meaningful progress is made. Because the organization is currently in a development phase, updates will be shared after real milestones are reached, such as completed survey review, curriculum development progress, partner-based learning updates, pilot preparation, and future program readiness.
This allows supporters to follow the work as it grows while ensuring that updates reflect actual progress rather than assumptions or premature claims.
What does Kids4Act hope youth may gain?
Kids4Act wants young people to experience the joy and excitement of creative learning while building confidence, resilience, communication, self-expression, and emotional awareness.
Future programming aims to help youth understand that there is no single wrong answer in creative exploration. The goal is to help them feel progress from the work they put in, build confidence in their voice, connect with peers, and carry those skills into other areas of life beyond acting.
What may families gain?
Kids4Act aims to help families better understand the creative journey, the value of arts education, and the many pathways young people may explore through acting, storytelling, communication, and creative development.
Families may gain information that helps them ask better questions, understand options, recognize opportunities and safeguards, support their child emotionally, and make more informed decisions while exploring creative spaces.
Who can I contact with donor questions?
