Programs in Development

Kids4Act is currently in a pilot development phase. Public Kids4Act youth programming is not currently active.

Kids4Act is developing future youth-focused creative arts programming through research, partnerships, feedback, and curriculum planning. Our current development work is focused on acting-based expression and creative development.

Acting-Based Expression & Creative Development

Kids4Act's current flagship program focus is Acting-Based Expression & Creative Development. This future pilot program is being shaped through Phase One: Research & Development, including partner-based learning, youth feedback, surveys, and observation connected to our partnership with Deb Lemen Acting Studio.

This program direction explores how acting, scripts, character work, on-camera technique, blocking, emotional expression, collaboration, memorization, and performance-based learning can help young people build confidence, communication, self-expression, peer connection, and emotional awareness.

Current Stage: Phase One Research & Development

Kids4Act is currently in Phase One: Research & Development. Through our partnership with Deb Lemen Acting Studio, youth ages 7-17 are participating in acting-based creative learning experiences in a safe, supportive, judgment-free environment.

Kids4Act is gathering surveys, feedback, and observations to better understand what youth are gaining, what they respond to, and how future programming should be structured. This research will help shape Phase Two: Curriculum Development.

Development Roadmap

What Youth May Gain

Future Kids4Act programming is being designed to help young people grow through creative practice, not just performance outcomes. The goal is to support confidence, communication, emotional awareness, collaboration, and the ability to express ideas in a safe and structured environment.

What Families May Gain

Kids4Act also aims to help families better understand creative development, healthy support systems, and the kinds of questions parents and guardians may need to ask when helping a young person explore the arts.

Future Literacy & Language Development

After Phase One, Kids4Act may explore a separate literacy and language development focus based on youth feedback, family interest, partner input, and needs identified through the research and development process.

This future area may include reading comprehension, writing, pronunciation, enunciation, language confidence, and other educational tools that support young people's ability to communicate and express themselves more clearly.

This future area is not part of the current acting-based pilot and will be explored only after additional review, planning, and team discussion.

Responsible Program Development

Kids4Act believes youth programming should be built with care, not rushed. Before launching public programming, we are taking time to learn from experienced partners, gather youth feedback, study what young people respond to, and develop curriculum informed by real experiences rather than assumptions.

This careful process helps Kids4Act prepare future programming that is more thoughtful, useful, and aligned with the needs of youth and families.
